Young Jeezy, rapper and Senior VP of A&R at Atlantic Records celebrates 12-12-12 with the release of his, It’s Tha World (Es El Mundo). Hosted by DJ Drama, the project features 17 tracks of new music from the Atlanta trap star. It’s Tha World pairs Jeezy once again with DJ Drama. Neither are the same hungry youngsters, eager to make names for themselves, that they were on Trap Or Die. Now, they both stand atop a large heap of accomplishments and are fending off those that wish to take their respective positions. So what can we expect from this tape?

Carrying the same rollick that’s fed many of his past intros, whether on mixtapes or albums, Da Snowman comes in bearing plenty of gifts. Whether it’s on Jahlil Beats’ droptop-friendly “Knob Broke” or when he’s getting comfortable on “How It Feel”, the mixtape unwinds as a potent offering of Jeezy’s street epithets sprinkled over block-booming production.

Young Jeezy proved that he was very much alive with the release of the gold-selling album Thug Motivation 103: Hustlerz Ambition. Reestablishing himself as a force to be reckoned with in southern rap and beyond, Jeezy is spending some of his reclaimed goodwill by revitalizing the CTE brand. Part of that process includes taking a new job at Atlantic and parting ways with former business associates, but the fans don’t care about all of that. We want the music.
