Meek Mill “Dreamchasers” Mixtape Download & Stream
Meek Mill links up with DJ Drama and the two provide more great music with Dream Chasers featuring Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, Beanie Sigel, Young Chris and more.
Dreamchasers is a mixtape by American rapper Meek Mill since signing his record deal with Maybach Music Group , hosted by DJ Drama. It is the first installment in the Dreamchasers series, and was released on August 11, 2011 on professional mixtape website Datpiff. Dreamchasers features guest appearances by American rappers Young Chris, Rick Ross, Beanie Sigel, Mel Love, NH, Yo Gotti, and Young Pooh. Production includes A One, All Star, Tone Beats, Jahlil Beats, and Lex Luger.
The mixtape contains tracks that describe the life of growing up in the hood and well, of course, chasing your dreams. It also includes the “Self Made Vol. 1” track “Ima Boss” and freestyles to Future‘s “Tony Montana“, Fabolous‘s “Y’all Don’t Hear Me Tho“, and DJ Khaled‘s “I’m On One“.
Here’s one review by Global Grind critic Susana Osbourne saying that “When he wakes up, the first thing on Meek Mill’s mind is “Get this paper”. The young Philly rapper is breaking down the doors of hip-hop, with no remorse or mercy. Having gone to jail and experienced many of the disturbing aspects of growing up in the hood, he has amazing stories to tell. Though they may be difficult to listen to, Meek forces you to listen through his fast & energized rapping style. You can literally hear the hunger in his voice and in his soul. There is nobody in this music game as hungry as Meek Mill is right now … and because it’s that obvious, he has gained a lot of respect”. XXLMag says “Meek Mill got next. After turning Maybach Music Group’s Self Made Vol.1 compilation into his coming out party, the XXL Freshman is on the cusp of stardom.
With two Rick Ross-featured heaters (“Tupac Back” and “I’m A Boss”) still steaming, Meek’s DJ Drama-hosted mixtape, Dreamchasers, is poised to push the Philadelphia MC’s buzz into overdrive. The tape opens fittingly with the A One-produced “Intro”—a making-of-a-legend-feel track that chops up Carl Orff’s “O Fortuna” composition previously sampled on Nas’ “Hate Me Now” and Cam’ron’s “Get ‘Em Girls”. The streets-approved MC wastes no time assuring his new found visibility hasn’t lessened his pedigree. “Monday, it’s probably 106 & Park/Tuesday, probably in the hood where it get dark/Wednesday, probably catch me swimming’ with the sharks with blood drippin’ from my shoes,” he spits”.
There are two types of people in the music business: ones who sit around, dream and wait for opportunity and ones who dream, wake up and chase that dream. Through his progress in the last year, Meek Mill falls into the latter. Follow @MeekMill @Medievalbeatz Buy Beats Online
