Iggy Azalea provides us with dope Hip-Hop mixtapes completely infused with some of the hottest electronic productions around thanks to the whole project being executively produced by Diplo and 1st Down of FKI. The project incorporates the straight hood vibe of old school trap music with that newer electronic twist. It’s a relatively short mixtape with lots of solid tracks like “Demons”, “Quicktime” a feature from trap icon Juicy J on “Flexin’ & Finessin’” produced by Fki & Flosstradamus, and she even goes in on a trapped out version of Flux Pavillion‘s popular remix to “Gold Dust”.
“TrapGold is a project I created, to bring me back the feeling I used to get before I meet those men in suits who tried to find every way to suck the life and magic out of me,” explained Iggy Azalea. “It’s the fun and cockiness of being young and feeling bulletproof. It’s winding down your car window, extending your middle finger out and up into the sun as those men behind their desks stare down at you from their high-rise offices… ‘FU*K EM!’”
The cover art shows Iggy Azalea blooming from a rose she penciled herself. Along with the design came the back cover, which included the full 11-song tracklist for the mixtape. With the producing expertise of Diplo and the trippy rhymes of Juicy J, Iggy Azalea put together quite a Traptastic mixtape. Follow on Twitter @IGGYAZALEA @MedievalBeatz Beats For Sale
