Gucci Mane has released his new mixtape Trap God 2 via DatPiff.com.
Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane recruits a handful of rappers including Wiz Khalifa, Young Thug, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne, Lloyd, Verse Simmonds and many more.
Gucci had previously stated that he was going to release the tape in conjunction with the film Spring Breakers in which he co-stars. He announces that Mariah Carey helped him land the role on the upcoming major motion film and that the idea originated from their collaboration on her “Obsessed” (Remix) ft. Gucci Mane
“I gotta give all the credit to Mariah Carey,” Gucci Mane said. “I thank her for that. Also I want to give a shout out to Nick Cannon and Mariah and their family. I thank her for introducing me to Brett Ratner, who did Rush Hour 3. I met him through her at our video for the song we did together, ‘Obsessed.’ Later she put me in touch with Brett Ratner and Harmony Korine who’s the director. They told me they were interested in putting me in a film but she was the connect to that.”
