Philly’s Meek Mill teams up with DJ ill Will & DJ Rockstar to drop his highly anticipated Mr Philadelphia Mixtape. The tape is heavily co-signed by T.I. and Grand Hustle with features from Vado, Rick Ross, T.I., Young Chris, Beanie Sigel, Peedi Crakk and more.

Robert Williams (born May 6, 1987), better known by his stage name Meek Mill, is an American hip hop recording artist from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was briefly signed to Atlanta rapper T.I.‘s record label Grand Hustle and in February 2011 signed to Miami-based rapper Rick Ross‘ Maybach Music Group imprint.

After releasing several mixtapes early in his career, Meek Mill released his debut album Dreams and Nightmares in 2012, under Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros.. The album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, preceded by the singles “Amen“, “Burn” and “Young & Gettin’ It“.

There is a reason why T.I. handpicked Meek Mill for potentially signing him to his Grand Hustle imprint. One of those reasons lies within his lyrical abilities. He’s proven it time and time again. He even has his own unique fast paced rapping style that nobody else possess’. The verses are never boring because of the energy he includes into his music. Alongside Jahlil Beats, Meek Mill creates some of the best records of his career. The energetic, club banging “Rose Red (Remix)” has the sound and eye appeal featuring Hip-Hop heavyweights Rick Ross and T.I. as well as newcomer Vado. Boasting an off the wall Indian sample in the production, “Indian Bounce” is just straight bars for over two minutes.

The type of flow that is shown on both tracks “Raw” and “Hard In The Paint (Freestyle)” is pure lyrical skill with super charged bars that’s got that Meek Mill spin to it. After three installments of Flamers and Mr Philadelphia, Meek Mill proves to the Hip Hop world that he has the flow, style, production and the commercial appeal that he needs to become the Rap King of Philadelphia.
