The Eagles had one of the more talented teams in the NFC and one of the best coaches in the NFL. It said to see Andy Reid end his tenure with the Eagles on with a losing season. I had Philadelphia in the NFC championship game, maybe the super bowl. Le Sean McCoy had an amazing season in 2011 scoring 20 touchdowns in 15 games. During the past two seasons McCoy has broken several Team records and some NFL records. He was also was growing as a running back, to the public he was becoming the game’s best all around back. The closest thing to Marshall Faulk in today’s game. Along to go with McCoy they have Michael Vick, one of the most gifted players to play in the NFL ever. Vick was ready for this season, he knew the playbook, and he was motivated, only problem was protection! The Eagles had a weak Offensive line, when the run game was their strength. Point blank, the game is played in the trenches. Without the “Big Guys” up front it’s hard to go anywhere in the NFL! Vick is fast, but the constant hits tamed his game. He could not be the true Mick Vick because he had nowhere to run. Later, this causes Vick to go to the bench. He is worth too much to be thrown out their like a rag doll. Michael Vick looked like Aaron Brooks this season. He was a shell of his real self. In 2011 the Eagles had were a top five Offense. The bad part about that was every coach had a lot of film on their players. So the losing season was not all Reid or all on the players. Nor, is the owner to blame it was a hand full of events that caused the Eagles to fall. The problem in 2011 was the Defense, this season it was defense, offense and special teams! They added players through trades and free agents; Pro Bowl players such as Nnamdi Asomugha, Demeco Ryans, and Jonathan Babin. It just seems like they need a new spark. Maybe a new coach can rekindle the flame the once was there. Andy Reid is a great coach and did a great job with them. One coach can take a player so far. John Gruden went to Tampa Bay new coach they won the Super bowl. Tony Dungy went to the Colts; he helped Peyton Manning win his Super bowl. Sometimes change is good. Hopefully the Eagles make the right choice because they have three good teams in their division the Redskins, Cowboys, and Giants. Although Philly has been picked to win this division many times in the past, things are different now they are going to have to fight for the next few division titles if they want them. What the Eagles have to learn is the game is played on the grass not the paper!!!
